creative process

Shannon commissioned me to illustrate 4 moments of her and her family. She wanted something cozy and warm. Firstly, I asked her to send me some pictures of her family along with a small description of what they are like, as well as the concept for the 4 images. After some back-and-forth ideas, I made some sketches for the poses and base colors. Feedbacks are very important while sketching! Once the sketches got her approval, we went on to the next steps: lineart, colors and finally render. Here you will see the process of the first artwork we made: "Home".You can check out Shannon's (and other's) review of my work in the tab Reviews.

how to order a commission

Check my base rates. Contact me by email at [email protected] or Instagram. Tell me your idea: how you want the characters and the background. You don't need to be very detailed now, just enough so I can make a proper pricing! Each commission takes up to 2 weeks to complete and the waiting list's usually less than a month. Here's how it goes:

  1. Read the Terms of Service.

  2. Payment: Payment upfront via PayPal.

  3. References: Gather all the reference pictures and information we'll need to create this artwork and send to me by email.

  4. Sketching: I will send you some sketches for the scene. At this stage you can ask for modifications until you're happy with it.

  5. Lineart: Minor adjustments can be made at this stage.

  6. Base colors: Color adjustments can be made at this stage.

  7. Render: From now on, I'll do shading, lighting and detailing. This step won't have any adjustments anymore so be sure to ask early on the project.

  8. Final Step: I'll send you a jpg image with 4.000 x 3.000 pixels for personal use. There will be a version "LOW" - with my watermark and your name - so you can post on the Internet freely. The other version "HIGH" - with just my signature - is your high resolution file.
